My friend Tracy, one of IHeartMusic.com’s entertainment goddesses, fancies herself a baller. She likes to shout it out at random times, taped a “BALLER” sign to her computer’s monitor…I’m not convinced she’s not hiding a tattoo somewhere. Today, her profile on the ZVIP Zone is being featured on Z100’s homepage, and her sweet mom down in Houston, Texas, happened to notice. Here’s what transpired over IM just now:
Mom (1:11:47 PM): Lunch time. Just checked ZVIP Member of the day…. Cute, Cute picture. Where was that taken? I clicked on your face and it took me to your blog. What does it mean when it says “Tracy is a baller”?
Tracy (1:11:57 PM): that’s my status
Tracy (1:11:59 PM): I’m a baller
Mom (1:12:09 PM): And baller means????
Tracy (1:12:16 PM): It means I’m awesome
Mom (1:13:45 PM): I know you are awesome but baller is a horrible word…to me unflattering and masculine…

Tracy (1:15:48 PM): Baller is like, a really good ball player - that’s the slang word comes from . Like a basketballer.
